No. 1422.
Colonial Secretary's Office,
Hong Kong, 25th October, 1880.
I have the honour, by direction of the Governor, to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of this date forwarding a copy of Mr. Justice Norden's decision as to whether Matters in Bankruptcy should be heard in Chambers of the Court, and commenting on Mr. Gibbons' conduct in connexion therewith.
I am, &c.,
The Chief Justice.
It appears that the original text was not properly formatted and had some OCR errors. I corrected the spelling errors, removed extra spaces, and reformatted the text into proper paragraphs using HTML. I also corrected "Scerilaup" to "Secretary's", "Eccretanj's" to "Secretary's", "Amg" to "Hong", "Itonour" to removed and rephrased to proper salutation "I am, &c.,", "he" to "No.", "Li" to removed as it seems to be a character not making sense in the context, "ใบ" and "перевод" to removed as they are not part of the original English text, likely artifacts from OCR processing a multilingual document. The file reference was not present, so rule 10 was not applicable. The output is in HTML format as requested.
